Caution – may contain feelings of warmth and fuzziness

It’s been revealed – the UK’s most anticipated ad of the year! John Lewis have done it again – another warm and fuzzy Christmas ad that is about so much more than buying gifts. Year after year, they manage to make you realise just how important it is to let people know you are there, and this time, all accompanied by a beautiful cover – the amazing Oasis song “Half the World Away”, sung by Aurora Aksnes.

This year’s ad is not my favourite however – they have had some absolute crackers, all brilliant in their own right!

My Ultimate John Lewis ads: (Caution – may contain feelings of warmth and fuzziness)

John Lewis Christmas Advert 2011 – The Long Wait

John Lewis Christmas Advert 2012 – The Journey

John Lewis Christmas Advert 2013 – The Bear & The Hare

John Lewis Christmas Advert 2014 – #MontyThePenguin

And this year’s ad…

John Lewis Christmas Advert 2015 – #ManOnTheMoon

Just Say Yes

Once in a while a referendum comes along which really pulls all of our heartstrings, leaving us with an overwhelming desire to go out and make sure we have our say.

On May 22nd 2015, we can help make an amendment to the Constitution which will change forever what it means to grow up LGBT in Ireland. I’d like to help make this change for my friends, but also for Ireland – the place we call home, the place we call the land of a thousand welomes…

It’s all about equality. It’s all about love. With just days left to register to vote, here’s a contribution to the journey.
